A full day CDE & HANDS-ON Workshop was organized by Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, BBDCODS, Lucknow in association with Safe Endo Pvt. Ltd. India and Mankind Pharma. It was held on 10th February 2023 at Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental Sciences, Lucknow. The program consisted of Lecture, live demonstration of Self aspirating syringe system using articaine followed by Lunch and finally Hands-on on extracted pre-prepared natural teeth on ultrasonic irrigation techniques using “Endo Activator”. There were 99 delegates registered from all over the state for this CDE & live demonstration while 41 delegates opted for Hands-on Workshop.
Dr. Rakesh Singla, a renowned Endodontist, Prof. & Head of Department, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, JCD Dental College , Sirsa, Haryana was invited as a guest speaker to share his valuable insights, thoughts and experiences about the topic with participants for this event. He completed his post-graduation in 2006 from PGIMS Rohtak under Dr. Sanjay Tiwari, a pioneer of endodontics in India. The CDE invitation circulated was as under:

Without any delay the guest speaker lecture was started. The guest speaker lecture comprised of every detail of behavior modifications, chair side etiquettes, medications, local anesthesia techniques, countering the pain during LA administration, indication of various local anesthetic agents, management of hot tooth, supplementary anesthetic techniques and role of analgesics, steroids and irrigants.

The overwhelming response of the delegates made the event spectacularly exciting and informative.
After the lecture completion, live demonstration of self-aspirating syringe system using articaine was given to all the delegates by Dr Rakesh Singla.

This demonstration was succeeded by presentation of Memento to Dr Rakesh Singla, guest speaker by Dr. Praveen Singh Samant and finally the session was concluded by the vote of thanks proposal by Dr. Vishesh Gupta.

Hands-On workshop was commenced at minor O.T. of the department situated at fourth floor after the lunch for all delegates. In this workshop clinical techniques for root canal irrigation using Endosonics “Endo Activator” system was carried out by Dr. Rakesh Singla. All the registered delegated were then trained to do it individually on the prepared extracted natural teeth.
